Welcome

I am so excited that you will be reading Elephant Run, it is a great book.  One of the first things I would like you to do is get some background knowledge about Burma.

  4. Burmas war. It took two years to conquer the Burmese lost over 20,000 men.

  5. 1.Burmas war started january 1942, and the Japanese Army crossed the river Salween to invade Burma.

    2. I also learned something about Bruma. Burmese is the most widely spoken language.

    1. I learned that the animals that live there are Tigers-Leopards-Rhinos-Buffalo-Boars-Dear-Antelope-Monkeys-Flying Foxes-Crows-Pheasants-Crocs-Geckos-Cobras-Pythons-and Fresh water fish.

  7. The climite in Burma is 70 degrees F and 21 degrees C. Because Burma is located between the Equder and and the Tropic of Cancer. Marley

  8. I found out that the date of Burma's war was March 5,1824-February 24, 1826.

  9. Burma is also bordered by India , Bangladesh , China ,Laos, and Thailand. I found many other facts like the government type witch is Military Junta.The major religions was one of my favorite facts because it told it by per sent.Buddist (89)% ,Christan (04)per sent , an Muslum also (04)per sent. This means that way over half of the country is one single religion .

  12. Did I mention some stuff I found on the history of Burma? Burma was a part of Britan's Indian Empire until 1937 when it became a self-governing colony.Burma gained it's independence from Britan 1948.

  13. I found a way to memorize their president Thein Sein. Look at the last three letters in first and last name.
