WAR

Finally! A new post!

How does the war find Nick in Burma? What does it mean for his stay on the plantation? What are the plans to get him to safety?

Describe what happens instead. If you were Nick, what would be the most frightening part of these events?

    I was really sad at the part where Nang's body was dead on the ground .It almost made me cry ,because I really built up that character in my mind.To find out that he is not going to be in the story any more is sad.

    Now nick is going to have a hard time to get to Austrailia . If he is going to get help from Hilltop that is going to be a chalenge , because he some where over the rainbow in the jungle.

      I also agree that if Nick really wants to visit Hilltop it would be a very risky and dangerous task.

      Yeay, he would run into a lot of probloms like,the Japenese soilders ,people who might tell on him, and dieing from his rib fracture.

      I honestly don't think that Nick and Mya are going to Australia anymore. If they do I wonder what will happen to them and who they will meet.

      I was also wondering where Indaw went. They said the Japanese
      beat him but they didn't tell us where they took him.

    I think it is a good thing for Nick and Mya to go to Australia even if they dont want to. It is not safe in Burma, 2 people already died. The most frightening part for me would be trying to get out of Burma with all of the Japanese around.

      The plan has now changed, hasn't it? Colonel Nagayoshi told Mr. Freestone that he would try and send Nick to India, do you foresee this happening?

    If I was nick I would say the most frightening thing to see would either be Nang on the ground dead or a dogs head smashed.

      What about the war all around him? He doesn't know where is father is, exactly. Wouldn't this frighten you??

    According to the Colonel, Nick will be going to India, but so far that's not the case. He is trapped in the nursery or working in the garden. If I were Nick I would still be frightened about seeing that dog's smashed head and Nang dead. I would also be wondering how Mya reacted to her father being dead. Also, the war keeps following Nick where ever he goes, because his mother sent him to Burma to escape the bombing in America.

      Right! They haven't talked much about Mya and Indaw in the most recent chapters, hopefully we find out more as we keep reading :)

    I cant wait to hear if Nick and his dad get reunited.But I wonder why Hilltop is leaving for a couple of days. It seems like he is always gone.
